HOTTEST AI NEWS FOR INTERIOR DESIGNERS
While summer might slow down some of us, AI does not stand still.Have you heard about Google´s plan to create a live camera interior assistant walking with you in your clients space, visualizing anything you tell it to? Isn´t that crazy?

Midjourney´s newest version V8.2
Midjourney V8.2
The very new Midjourney V8.2 introduces a more refined, editorial visual style that feels closer to high-end interior and design photography.
Also the new Draft Mode makes it easier to explore ideas at an early stage. Instead of waiting for a small number of detailed renders, you can toggle on the Draft mode button and with 1 prompt quickly generate 24 low-resolution concepts. See image below.
Google is changing how designers work
Google has been quickly winning the race for best AI tools for interior designers next to Midjourney´s alway most artistic image generating platform.
Not only with Google´s very smart Nano Banana Pro and super quick Nano Banana 2 Lite (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image) which allows you to change fabrics, furniture, lighting, basically anything you which to change in your existing image in just seconds.
But also the just released Gemini Omni Flash that allows you to not only create stunning animations (short video´s) of your most beautiful images, but you can even tell it what to change in the interior (materials, lighting, colors etc) in the video!
Google´s real time camera sharing
But to me the biggest NEWS is that shortly Googles will release its newest Gemini Live with real-time camera sharing.
Google Live already allowed us to open our camera in an interior and discuss with Google Live what this interior needs while walking around with or without your clients. ¨Google, what do you think about a sitting pit here, and what color there.¨.
But the soon to be launched Gemini Live with real-time camera sharing allows you to direct your camera at a boring corner of that room and say what you wish to see in that corner. This AI tool with a connection with Nano Banana pro, then shows you live on your screen what you ask it to visualise or edit in the room with. With your clients next to you, obviously being very impressed with what you are showing them:)
