Project Amsterdam De Pijp
(ground floor)

For this project, Van Essen Interiors completely stripped both the ground and first floors of this apartment in Amsterdam’s most vibrant neighborhood, De Pijp.

The two levels were seamlessly interconnected by a newly constructed staircase, effortlessly transforming them into a single, two-story luxury apartment.

On the ground floor, we created an expansive open plan. Custom floor-to-ceiling cabinetry discreetly conceals a restroom, a laundry area, a wardrobe, and the utility meters. A gray-washed oak chevron parquet floor flows beautifully throughout the space, extending onto the stairs. The kitchen features a custom floor-to-ceiling storage wall paired with a striking 3.5-meter kitchen island.

Facing the garden, the original facade was completely replaced with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, flooding the space with light. The interior is finished with design furniture from Vitra and signature design lighting from Flos.
