“We had an AI training session with Mariëlle at our studio, and we were incredibly enthusiastic about it. The training was clear, engaging, and easy to follow, but above all, it was very practical and immediately applicable. Mariëlle explained everything in a clear and fun way and gave us plenty of inspiration to get started on our own. It was truly a valuable and inspiring training session!”

“Together with Marielle, we’re designing our new interior. She’s such a pleasure to work with—clear communication, excellent collaboration—and above all, Marielle has truly great ideas that she knows how to translate into a design, the overall experience, and especially the feeling the space will give us. She understands me perfectly. Actually, she understands me better than I understand myself. She takes us through the entire process, from test-sitting on sofas to feeling curtain fabrics and rugs. It’s all fantastic!”

Anne-Sjoe Kilsdonk

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Mariëlle on several projects now, and I really enjoy collaborating with her. Our most recent project involved a complete renovation of an off-grid home: a challenging undertaking with significant technical and logistical complexities. She works in a structured, project-based manner, yet never loses sight of the bigger picture. Mariëlle combines creativity with the ability to get things done. She is a reliable professional who delivers quality and takes responsibility.”

Robert Pijselman

“Marielle created a stunning comprehensive design for our office, located in an office villa in Amsterdam. After the design was approved, she also oversaw the entire implementation process, which took all the work off our hands. The result is a workspace that brings us joy every single day and regularly earns compliments from clients who visit our office.”

Wiert Jan Berghuis, Van Diepen van der Kroef Attorneys at Law

“Marielle was a tremendous help with the complete interior design and lighting plan for our entire new-construction apartment in Amsterdam. She listened very carefully to our wishes and took our guidelines into account, while also offering excellent, creative, and clear advice. Marielle truly went the extra mile for us and provided outstanding service and follow-up care.”

Ernst Haverkamp

“We worked with Mariëlle on the large-scale renovation of our home in the Apollobuurt neighborhood in Amsterdam. She was invaluable throughout the process. What really sets Mariëlle apart from other interior designers we’ve worked with in the past is that she communicates exceptionally clearly, keeps her promises, and also supported us during a number of unavoidable discussions with the contractor(s). The end result is beautiful, and we’re very grateful to her for that!”

Thomas van Bergen

“Even though it was a challenge to find a middle ground that would bring together my partner’s and my differing tastes, Van Essen Interiors succeeded in creating a beautiful blend of materials and colors. When we were feeling overwhelmed by the many possibilities, Mariëlle provided us with a clear and well-organized plan. Mariëlle is a wonderful person to work with—knowledgeable and deeply committed. Highly recommended!”

Thirza BA

“We approached Marielle asking for a comprehensive design concept for our existing living room and kitchen. She got to work right away with our ideas, and our tastes aligned perfectly. She understood exactly what we wanted and translated that into a stunning design featuring a custom cabinet made of American walnut and travertine, a lighting plan, upholstery, and furniture. We’re very happy with the result.”

Sophie Hendriks

“Mariëlle was very professional and dedicated throughout the entire project. From start to finish, she did everything she could to ensure that all deadlines were met, from design to construction. I highly recommend her!”
